Title: The Registration of Professional Engineers in Ontario

Synopsis

Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is the licensing body in Ontario, consisting of over 67,000 Professional Engineer (P.Eng) members, almost half of all licensed Professional Engineers in Canada. The PEO is responsible for regulating the practice of engineering through enforcement and discipline, to serve and protect the public, and license qualified individuals. What is the PEO's role & function, mobility of license, licensing requirements, and enforcement? What does the future hold for the PEO? How will it react to new technology sectors? With the advent of globalization, how will the PEO move forward with international influences?
